Sparks (Grades K–5)

Where the Love of Theatre Begins

Every great performer starts somewhere, and at Ignite the Light Performing Arts, the Sparks Program is where that journey begins.

Designed for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade, Sparks introduces young performers to the exciting world of musical theatre through a fully staged production. Students learn to sing, dance, act, and tell stories while building confidence, creativity, and friendships that last long after the final curtain call.

Our rehearsals are filled with encouragement, laughter, and opportunities for every child to grow. Whether your child is stepping on stage for the very first time or already loves performing, our directors create an environment where every student feels seen, supported, and challenged to become their very best.

At Ignite, we believe the lessons learned on stage reach far beyond the theatre. Through each production, students develop responsibility, perseverance, teamwork, communication, and self-confidence while discovering the joy of working together to create something extraordinary.

Every rehearsal is designed to help students grow not only as artists, but as kind, confident leaders who shine both on and off the stage.

Fall 2026 Production

This fall, our Sparks performers will bring Disney’s Aladdin KIDS to life!  Students will rehearse each week as they learn music, choreography, staging, and character development before taking the stage for a weekend of exciting performances.

Rehearsals:
Wednesdays | 5:30 PM–7:00 PM

Performance Weekend:
January 8–10, 2027

No previous theatre experience is required—just a willingness to learn, grow, and have fun!

Continue the Journey

While the Sparks production is an incredible experience on its own, many families choose to expand their child’s training with our weekly classes. These classes reinforce the skills learned during rehearsals and help students continue growing throughout the year.

We recommend pairing Sparks with:

• Sparks Dance – A musical theatre dance class designed specifically for our youngest performers, helping students build confidence, coordination, and stage presence.
• Tap, Jazz, and Ballet – Develop strong technical foundations, flexibility, musicality, and versatility that carry over into every production.
• Acting Classes – Build imagination, storytelling skills, character development, and confidence on stage.
• Voice Lessons and Vocal Classes – Strengthen healthy vocal technique, musicianship, and performance confidence while helping each student discover their unique voice.

Together, these classes create a well-rounded training experience that allows young performers to continue growing in every aspect of the performing arts.
