Not every theatre kid wants to be in the spotlight—and that’s kind of the point.
Wednesdays | 5:30–6:30 PM
There’s a whole world of theatre happening behind the curtain, and Crew Club is where students get to be part of it!
Ignite’s Crew Club is a hands-on theatre experience for students who want to explore the technical and backstage side of putting on a show. Students will learn real theatre skills while working alongside our production team and becoming an important part of bringing Ignite productions to life.
Crew Club members may get experience with:
- Set building and painting
- Props and scenery
- Lighting and sound
- Costumes and organization
- Backstage responsibilities
- Set changes and scene transitions
- Theatre safety and proper equipment use
- Working together as a production crew
But Crew Club is about more than learning how things work backstage. It’s about teamwork, responsibility, problem-solving, creativity, and finding your place in the theatre.
Our crew members are every bit as important to a production as the performers onstage. They learn to think quickly, communicate clearly, support their teammates, and take pride in knowing that the magic happening onstage wouldn’t be possible without them.
