FLAMES

5th to 10th Grade Theater, Dance, Acting and Vocal Training in Loudoun County

Flames (Grades 5–10)

Where Passion Meets Possibility

The Flames Program is designed for students in 5th through 10th grade who are ready to discover—or continue growing—their love of musical theatre. Whether your performer is stepping into their very first production or has years of experience, Flames offers a welcoming, encouraging, and challenging environment where every student can thrive.

Through a fully staged musical production, students strengthen their skills in acting, singing, dancing, and storytelling while learning what it means to be part of a dedicated ensemble. Our directors meet each performer where they are, helping beginners build a strong foundation while encouraging experienced performers to stretch their abilities, take on new challenges, and continue growing as artists.

Our rehearsals are filled with creativity, collaboration, and encouragement. Students learn that success isn’t just about applause—it’s about perseverance, responsibility, teamwork, leadership, and supporting one another throughout the journey. Whether your performer dreams of Broadway or simply loves being on stage, the Flames Program provides an unforgettable experience that helps them grow both as artists and as individuals.

At Ignite the Light Performing Arts, our mission is simple: to create great humans who are great performers.

Every rehearsal is designed to build confidence, character, and a lifelong love of the performing arts.

Fall 2026 Production

This fall, our Flames performers will bring Legally Blonde JR. to the stage! Throughout the season, students will learn music, choreography, blocking, character development, and storytelling as they work together to create an exciting, high-energy production.

Rehearsals:

Tuesdays | 6:30 PM–8:30 PM

Performance Weekend:

January 29–31, 2027

Whether this is your performer’s first musical or they’re continuing their theatrical journey, they’ll be challenged, encouraged, and inspired every step of the way.

Continue the Journey

While the Flames production is an incredible experience on its own, many families choose to expand their student’s training through our weekly classes. These classes reinforce the skills learned during rehearsals while helping performers become confident, versatile, and well-rounded artists.

We recommend pairing Flames with:

  • Flames Dance – A musical theatre dance class created specifically for our Flames performers. This class focuses on the styles, choreography, technique, and performance skills that directly support success in our productions.
  • Tap – Improve rhythm, coordination, musicality, and precision.
  • Jazz – Build technique, flexibility, strength, and dynamic performance quality.
  • Ballet – Develop proper technique, posture, balance, and control that benefit every style of dance.
  • Hip-Hop & K-Pop – Explore today’s popular dance styles while building confidence, versatility, and stage presence.
  • Acting Classes – Strengthen character development, scene work, improvisation, and storytelling skills.
  • Voice Lessons & Vocal Classes – Build healthy vocal technique, confidence, musicianship, and strong performance habits.
  • Acting Through Song – Learn how to connect acting choices with vocal performance to become a more compelling storyteller.

Together, these classes create a complete training experience that complements the production process and helps students continue growing in every area of the performing arts.

Whether your performer is just beginning their theatre journey or looking to take their skills to the next level, the Flames Program is a place to belong, build confidence, form lifelong friendships, and discover just how brightly they can shine.
