Beyond the Stage
The Ignite All Stars is our audition-based musical theatre performance company for students in 5th through 12th grade who are ready to challenge themselves, grow as performers, and represent Ignite the Light Performing Arts on a national stage.
Each year, our All Stars train in advanced musical theatre performance while preparing to compete at the internationally acclaimed Junior Theater Festival (JTF)—the world’s largest celebration of young people in musical theatre.
At JTF, students perform for Broadway professionals, participate in workshops led by industry artists, receive feedback from some of the best educators in the business, watch performances from Broadway stars, meet performers from around the world, and create memories that last a lifetime.
At Ignite, we believe this experience is about far more than competition. It is about building confidence, developing leadership, creating lifelong friendships, and inspiring students to dream bigger than they ever imagined.

Why Junior Theater Festival?
The Junior Theater Festival brings together thousands of performers from around the world for an unforgettable weekend celebrating musical theatre. Students learn from Broadway performers, directors, choreographers, casting professionals, and educators while sharing their love of theatre with talented performers from across the country.
JTF is an experience unlike any other—one that inspires, challenges, and transforms young artists both on and off the stage.
An Award-Winning Program
Ignite the Light Performing Arts is proud to have earned 10 Junior Theater Festival Awards and counting, recognizing our students’ hard work, artistry, and commitment to excellence.
One of our proudest accomplishments came in 2025, when Ignite was selected as an All-Festival Performance Group—one of the highest honors awarded at the Junior Theater Festival. Our students had the incredible opportunity to perform on the festival’s main stage in front of more than 7,000 fellow performers, Broadway professionals, educators, and families from around the world.
Our students have also had unforgettable opportunities, including performing for original Broadway star Beth Leavel, receiving feedback from Broadway professionals, and learning alongside some of the most talented young performers in the country.
While we’re incredibly proud of our awards and achievements, what matters most to us is the confidence, friendships, leadership, and personal growth our students gain throughout the journey.
2026–2027 Auditions
The Ignite All Stars is an audition-based company open to students entering 5th through 12th grade.
Upcoming Audition Dates
- Sunday, August 9 | 6:30 PM
- Wednesday, August 19 | 6:30 PM
Students should prepare:
- Approximately one minute
- (32 bars) of a musical theatre song.
- A backing track (no a cappella auditions).
- Clothes and shoes they are ready to dance in.
Auditions also include a dance combination and group activities so our directors can get to know each performer and see how they work within an ensemble.

Selected performers will represent Ignite at one or both events:
- Junior Theater Festival Atlanta – January 14–18, 2027
- Junior Theater Festival West – February 4–8, 2027

WHAT IS THE JUNIOR THEATRE FESTIVAL (JTF)?
The Junior Theater Festival (JTF) is the world’s biggest and best celebration of young people performing musical theater. JTF brings together student musical theater troupes from all over the world for a weekend of musical theater mayhem and madness. Each troupe performs fifteen minutes from a Broadway Junior®️ show for adjudication by a panel of musical theater experts. The weekend also features professional development for teachers, workshops for students and parents, a New Works Showcase featuring new musical adaptations soon to be released, and concludes with a grand finale concert headlined by Broadway’s best!
