🎭 Embers Musical Theatre
Homeschool Production Company | Ages 6–18
Fall Production - The Grunch - Performances Weekend of December 11th
Inspired by “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas”, The Grunch tells the story of Rudy Grunch, a grumpy 6th grader who always feels like an outsider. When the entire school gets excited about the annual school musical, he comes up with a perfect plan to ruin it for everyone; he’ll steal the sets, costumes and lights the night before it opens. But will the spirit of theatre prevail?
Embers Musical Theatre is Ignite’s homeschool production company, offering students the opportunity to experience the excitement of producing a fully staged musical theatre production in a daytime homeschool setting.
Just like our Sparks, Flames, and Blazes production companies, Embers takes students through the complete production process—from auditions and casting to rehearsals and live performances. Throughout the semester, performers strengthen their acting, singing, dancing, and storytelling skills while learning the responsibility, discipline, and teamwork that make theatre such a powerful educational experience.
Every student is cast in the production and plays an important role in bringing the story to life. Whether your child is stepping onto the stage for the first time or already has performance experience, Embers provides a supportive environment where every performer is encouraged to grow, take risks, and shine.
Students will experience:
- A fully staged musical theatre production
- Auditions and casting
- Acting, singing, and choreography rehearsals
- Character development
- Stage presence and storytelling
- Team-building and collaboration
- Professional direction and instruction
- Live public performances
Embers isn’t just about putting on a show—it’s about developing confident, compassionate young people while creating unforgettable memories.
