Youth Theater, Dance, Acting and Vocal Training in Loudoun County
At Ignite the Light Performing Arts, we believe in developing great humans who happen to be great performers. Our programs are designed to help students grow in confidence, creativity, discipline, leadership, and artistry — all while building lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories.
Whether your child is stepping into the spotlight for the very first time or pursuing advanced performance opportunities, Ignite offers a place for every performer to shine.
Preschool Programs (Ages 2–6)
Our preschool programming introduces young performers to the joy of music, movement, and imagination in a fun, nurturing environment. Through classes like dance, music, and creative movement, students build confidence, coordination, social skills, and a love for the arts from an early age.
These classes are designed to encourage creativity while helping little ones learn classroom structure, teamwork, and self-expression in an age-appropriate setting.
Sparks Program (K–5th Grade)
Our Sparks Program is designed for elementary-aged performers who are ready to explore the exciting world of musical theatre and performing arts. Sparks students build foundational skills in singing, acting, and dance while participating in productions, classes, and performance opportunities that help them grow both on and off the stage.
This program focuses on confidence-building, teamwork, creativity, and learning to shine unapologetically.
Flames Program (5th–10th Grade)
The Flames Program is designed for performers who are ready to take their training to the next level. Students continue developing strong performance skills while growing as storytellers, collaborators, and leaders.
Flames performers participate in productions, advanced classes, and specialized training opportunities that challenge them artistically while continuing to foster a supportive and encouraging community.
Blazes Program (8th–12th Grade)
Our Blazes Program serves advanced and high school performers who are passionate about performing arts and committed to growing their craft at a high level.
Blazes students receive intensive training in vocal performance, acting, dance, and musical theatre while participating in productions, leadership opportunities, and advanced performance experiences. This program helps prepare students for college auditions, professional opportunities, and lifelong confidence both onstage and beyond.
Ignite All Stars (JTF Program)
Ignite All Stars is our elite audition-based musical theatre performance team for dedicated performers in grades 5–12. Formerly known as SBVTA, this nationally recognized program provides advanced training in vocal performance, acting, dance, and storytelling.
Each year, Ignite All Stars travels to the world-renowned Junior Theater Festival (JTF), where students perform, participate in workshops with Broadway professionals, and compete alongside some of the top youth theatre programs in the world.
Students accepted into the program receive:
- Advanced vocal and dance training
- Vocal and dance masterclasses
- Intensive rehearsal experiences
- Leadership and mentorship opportunities
- Performance opportunities throughout the year
- The chance to compete and perform at JTF Atlanta or JTF West
Admission to Ignite All Stars is by vocal and dance audition only.
Dance Classes
Ignite offers dance classes for all ages and experience levels in a wide variety of styles including:
- Musical Theatre Dance
- Hip Hop
- Tap
- Jazz
- Ballet
- K-Pop
- Preschool Dance
- Adult Classes
Our dance classes focus on strong technique, performance quality, musicality, confidence, and personal growth while creating an environment that is energetic, inclusive, and encouraging.
Vocal Lessons
Our private vocal lessons help singers of all experience levels strengthen their technique, confidence, and artistry. Lessons are individualized to each student’s goals and may focus on:
- Vocal technique
- Musical theatre performance
- Audition preparation
- Pop/Contemporary styles
- Confidence and stage presence
- College audition preparation
- Performance coaching
Students have opportunities to perform in recitals, showcases, productions, competitions, and community events throughout the year.
Group Vocal Classes
Our group vocal programs combine vocal training with harmony work, performance technique, and ensemble collaboration. These classes are perfect for students who love to sing while building confidence and teamwork in a group setting.
Students learn:
- Healthy vocal technique
- Harmony and blending
- Stage presence
- Performance skills
- Musical interpretation
Acting Classes
Our acting classes help performers strengthen storytelling, creativity, improvisation, character development, and stage confidence. Students explore both comedic and dramatic acting techniques while learning how to connect authentically with an audience.
Classes are designed for a variety of ages and experience levels and help students grow both as performers and communicators.
Guitar Lessons
Ignite also offers private guitar lessons for beginners through advanced students. Lessons are personalized to each student’s goals and musical interests while focusing on:
- Technique and fundamentals
- Chords and scales
- Music reading
- Performance skills
- Songwriting and creativity
Whether students want to accompany themselves while singing, play for fun, or pursue music more seriously, our guitar program helps them build confidence and musicianship in a supportive environment.
Performance Opportunities Beyond the Studio
At Ignite, learning extends far beyond the classroom. Throughout the year, our students have opportunities to perform throughout the community at local festivals, special events, showcases, benefit concerts, holiday celebrations, and community partnerships.
These experiences help students build confidence, professionalism, and real-world performance skills while sharing their talents and spreading joy throughout the Loudoun County community and beyond.
